Arche Koeln Waterfall
The Land of Origins Upon Gating In, you are surrounded by huge walls with water flowing over it. You stand upon a single platform of earth. The location is quite confined with little to do or wander. But the area is calm and serene despite the loud roar of the crashing water into the depths below.

"A fallen star, fell from your heart"
"And landed in my eyes..." Upon the very edge of the crooked crag, looking over, amber pools gazed seemingly past that of what lay before them, peering into something much more profound. Something much more meaningful. Powerful waves of water crashed into the pitch black depths below; however the sound was almost musical as Elynna listened intently. " its Beautiful..."The maiden would mutter, hands held at the center of warmth, where her heart lay, squeezing her chest gently. The calm skies, the crystal clear reflection given from the eternally flowing water, the lush vegetation that grew off in the distance. It was all so very soothing, so very gorgeous, but one thing was off. Despite its beauty. This place was lonely. As if calling out to her she could hear the earths cries for another. In many ways she was the same way. It was uncanny. A soft wind bellowed from the south, and gently passed over her, shuffling her ivory locks sending them a swept in a playful breeze. " but secluded from life..." [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Rowan gated in to the field with a peaceful smile on her face. She had grown restless in the fields that she had chosen to confine herself to and had decided that, as long as she was careful, it would be a good idea to explore the world that she found herself in and stretch her wings a little. The smile widened ever so slightly at the sight of the field and she closed her eyes for a moment to enjoy the sounds of the water crashing down below.
When she opened them again she slowly came to realize that she was not alone in the field. "Sorry, I did not mean to intrude. If you were waiting for someone I can go." Her voice was quiet and shy as she took a step back away from the other girl. Rowan's hands fiddled nervously with her skirt while she waited for the verdict on whether she was to stay or if she would have to find a new field to explore.

"A fallen star, fell from your heart"
"And landed in my eyes..." The winds shifted, and change was explicitly evident within the world. The breath of the Gods died down, diminishing as white locks of windswept hair fell back down Elynna's shoulder's. Allowing her hands to fall to her side, she listened to the voice that called out, innocently to her. "Waiting... how laughable."The words were muttered under her breath, not a single ear of the world, privy about a single word spoken so softly. Turning around, her clothing swayed an shuffled, her hair gliding across her shoulder and her eyes shut. Her left hand raised itself to her chest, and her lips curved into a wry, seductive smile. "I have no one..."Stopping for but a single moment, a single secondl, she opened her eyes and gazed straight ahead at the red haired woman who stood before her. It truly was laughable. Herself? A girl who hated her life, having someone who'd she'd wait for? The irony in those words hurt too much, and it was a painful medicine indeed to swallow. "No one like that at all..."A laugh escaped her parted lips, birthed into the open air for all to hear. Using the hand that was at her chest she flipped her hair back to its relaxing position, her face was blank; however it was but a mask worn well. A mask to cover sorrow. Abby gated into the field, being the protective bodyguard of Rowan. She was a bit late since she still hadn't fully grasped the concept of entering and exiting various fields. Somehow the mood seemed tense. She decided it was best not to say anything. Instead she ran to Rowan's side. There might not be anything she could do for her only friend in reality but here, she could help!

"Oh..." She shifted her weight a bit before taking a step forward. "Then is it okay if I join you? I don't want to intrude but this is a lovely field." Rowan glanced over when Abby gated in and gave her a small smile and a wave. While she appreciated the effort of her friend to protect her, there was very little that she could actually do and should a situation ever arise she was well aware that it would almost certainly be Rowan that would have to do the saving.
She took another step toward the woman who had arrived before them and gently held a hand out to her. "My name is Rowan. It is nice to meet you." Rowan could not help but wonder why the woman seemed so sad. She would not question her but perhaps just joining her in enjoying the field would be enough for now.

"A fallen star, fell from your heart"
"And landed in my eyes..." A passing glance made by weary eyes was all that was offered to the newcomer, those sad, emotionless irises were silent, speaking nothing but forgotten whispers of the soul. Tragic... Elynna's thoughts in retrospect had manifested. In what form? The girl who had gated in, rushing to the side of the red haired woman. "I see..." It was unacceptable, as if the God's themselves laughed haughtily at her situation. She, the girl who had nothing, no one, who thoughts had trailed off into such undesired thoughts, would be subject to looking at the very thing she lacked. Had the world no compassion? Was she but a mockery? Biting her lip, she'd curse beneath her breath as the woman, stepped forward, extending her hand, and offering her name. What now Elynna thought? Was this mercy? Was it because she looked lonely? "How shallow..."Elynna thought as she averted her gaze, looking off into the far distance. She wouldn't accept it, not like this. Sweeping her gaze back to Rowan, she glared and calmly exhaled. "Names..... are for friends..."Elynna would speak coldly as she stepped back away from the two. They were not connected, they weren't friends, simply passerby's in her life who'd eventually like all others leave. It was how life worked. "This field doesn't belong to me, so do as you like..."[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Abby wanted to scream at this player to quit the game before she became stuck here just like her best friend. However, she knew reminding Rowan of her comatose state would just upset her so for once she bit her tongue.
She tilted her head curiously. "What nonsense is this?" "Nicknames might be for friends but there is nothing friendly about offering a name. You didn't choose it. It's just a word so that people can talk to you without appearing rude. Generally people don't like it when you call them 'Hey You!'"
"If you don't want us to be friends just say it clearly. If you don't want to associate yourself with us fine but there's no need to be so rude that you can't provide a name," she said crossly.

Rowan let out a short sigh and looked over to Abby. "Just because she has different opinions on what information to share with people she doesn't know doesn't mean she's rude. There is no reason to get angry." She turned her attention back to Elynna and flushed with embarrassment. "I apologize for her, she does not mean to be so harsh."
Although Rowan was more than used to Abby's outbursts, she hated seeing them unleashed on people who did not know her and were not expecting them, especially in situations like this. "If you do not want to give us your name you have no obligation to do so."
Rowan clasped her hands and made her way to the edge of the platform before leaning over to take a look at where the water crashed down below. "Nobody owns these fields but an intrusion into personal space is still an intrusion. Even if you have no right to tell us to leave, we would have done it if you did not want company. I have no intention of forcing my presence on others."

"A fallen star, fell from your heart"
"And landed in my eyes..." "How..... naive..."The low whisper was softly spoken, with no emotion, no attachment of life behind them. They were spoken oddly, like an automaton. Ever docile, Elynna's demeanor had not once faltered, had not once ruptured or gave way, her veil was simply, untouchable. A number of things could had led the girl to her outburst, whether it was Elynna's cold, callous eyes, her robotic like expression, or simply her inability to open up; however neither reason bothered her. Rowan, the first one she met within the harmonous field was more level headed, she reamined calmed, and despite Elynna's stoic persona, she did not become irate, nor did she show signs of irratation. It was interesting to say the least. Very. Maintaining her well worn mask she blankly gazed ahead, awaiting for Rowan to finsih up, before she'd speak. There was no explaining herself, these people didn't deserve such things. The world... didn't deserve such from her. Not an ugly world as so... "I don't wish to be friends... not with anyone."A brief paused had halted her words as she looked ahead, calm, her voice still using the same tone she had throughout the entire dialogue. "Because I hate people."It was all the same. People didn't care about her. Not really. She was a burden, who had long ago became too heavy. Far too heavy to hold up any longer, and so any who had promised to be with her, to stay with her, vanished from her sight, and distanced themselves from Elynna's reach. Lifeless pools of dim amber sunk low to the ground, the rush of the falling water humming loudly in the backdrop. "Like I said. Do as you like. Stay if you like. It matters not to me. People. Like all things will eventually wither, like flowers. If you wish to call me something. My name is mines, and mines alone; however.... ""However...""Magnolia, is fine."The creation of a cruel reality, manifested through pain and ache. This was the undeniable outcome. She was lost in the dark, un-trusting, un-caring, forever alone. This was how Elynna lived, in both reality, and the world. Pitiful really, but she led a meager existence, simply living, but not living. Surviving, yet not surviving. Could anyone save her? Save such a broken girl? [/blockquote][/blockquote]

"The rules set up by society deem her rude," Abby countered. "It's common courtesy to exchange names upon greeting." "And I'm not being harsh. I'm just helping her understand how others will perceive her if she refuses to give a name. She should learn if she really doesn't intend to upset others."
"I guess I'm not one to entirely follow the rules of society so reprimanding you is hypocritical," she said after a moment. It was her way of placating Rowan and apologizing to the new player.
She tilted her head curiously again. "You hate people?" she asked, bluntly. "Does that mean you're an A.I.? Or do your hate yourself? Even if you're an A.I. you're being hypocritical. A.I.s mimic people and for all intensive purposes should be considered human. Of course if you're a self hating A.I. you're spared from hypocrisy."
"Well, there is certainly a lot to hate about people. I hate bullies. I hate irresponsible older brothers who don't warn their younger sisters about the dangers an online game presents and who don't bother to visit said sisters once they are put in a comatose state. I hate people who instead of being honest rely on frilly and meaningless words to avoid commenting on real issues," she prattled on.
"But there are things to love about people too. I love people that take good care of animals and nature. I love people who help me study for exams and people who hang out with me even though I can be a bit blunt and brutish. I love people who hike and people who cook much better than I do. People who cook pretty things. And people who can garden such beautiful flowers and vegetables are nice."
"If you don't want any friends that's really none of my business. I only have one. But you are still talking to us and aren't asking us to leave. Does that mean you really crave company and attention? If so stop playing head games and just say what you think. I also hate people who play head games."

Rowan was about to speak to the one who had introduced herself as Magnolia when she was interrupted by Abby. Although she let out a short sigh she knew that once her friend had started to rant that it was near impossible to stop her. It was something that she was used to by this point, having known her for several years.
At the mention of irresponsible and loathsome brothers, however, she felt a stab of something that she could only identify as anger. It took her a few seconds to fully register what it was that she was feeling. By the time she had registered it, Abby was done speaking and Rowan had her fists clenched at her sides. "Do not speak on things that you do not understand, Abby. They have done everything they could for me and they visit me every single day! Do NOT try to say that they are irresponsible and if you don't have anything nice to say then DON'T SAY ANYTHING!" It was rare for Rowan to raise her voice or for her to even shout but by the end she was screaming at Abby. Things had been rough for her recently and now when she had found a lovely field and someone to have company with Abby was trying to start a fight and, even worse, thought it was appropriate to insult her family.
Rowan watched Abby with a hurt expression before turning her back on her and putting her attention on Magnolia, her face red with a mixture of anger and embarrassment. "I am really sorry about that and I understand." She took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "There are many things that are loathsome about humanity, but if you look for it there is good to be found."
She looked out over the waterfalls and began fidgeting with the front of her dress, ashamed of her outburst although she did not regret it. "Even if the sentiment is not returned, it is nice to meet you, Magnolia. My name is Rowan."
"People may wither and leave, but I think it is worse to never know someone than to love them and lose them...Sorry, I do not mean to assume. Please forgive me, I do not know your situation and it is not my place to comment."

"A fallen star, fell from your heart"
"And landed in my eyes..." Tension had risen all around, and many objective views clashed agsint one another, each backed by their owners will, hearts laid out for battle. For war. Soon voices punctured the the tranquility of the space around. Not a single emotion played across Elynna's pale face, her eyes maintained there hopeless, dim glare. The girls words were laughable at best, as if she cared what others thought. She desired nothing from others. She didn't need their approvals or even their respect, it was all pointless. So very pointless. "AI?"She repeat softly for a moment, her head tilting slightly to the side. In some sense one could call her that, or even dead, a ghost She exhibited no signs that she was actually alive other than the fact her own heart beat. Death, was something she had thought about many times, while confined to her bed, caged within four walls, she'd only look out into the vast sky, longing for a life she could not live. She had nothing. "Your wrong. Its because I'm human that I can hate people. Its because of that very reason why I can truly...""Truly hate..."The girl had continued to ramble pointlessly, her words sparking conflict within Rowan. The change in Rowan had interested Elynna, it had seemed she was just not your typical "Im so nice, I love everyone" type of person. She could get mad too, mad at people as Elynna did when she was in the real world. Her nightmare. Standing silently Elynna simply watched, watched as she always had, never an actor but simply in the audience, on the outside peering in. "Look? If only I could had been able to do such things...."Looking closely the only sign of emotion had finally risen form her shell, her eyes, no longer appeared dead, but a sad, longing emanated from them. Such a chance had never presented itself to her. Anyone who was close simply left her, and she? She couldn't give chase if she wanted, she couldn't follow. Because the world... people.. fate... they were all far too cruel. "Tell me Rowan, when you didn't awake, what were your thoughts?"Some truths had been uncovered an it seemed Rowan in some ways was like herself. "You see. When I didn't awake, my nightmare ended and I started dreaming..." [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Abby bit her lip, feeling incredibly guilty. It was rare that Rowan got angry and rarer that she showed it. Abby had really messed up this time. Why could she be so insensitive?! She should have known that was a dumb thing to say. Rowan was going through a difficult time. She should try to comfort her as much as possible.
Rowan's hurt expression bothered Abby more than the anger. She wanted to protect her best friend, not upset her.
She ran in front of Rowan and apologized profusely. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! You know how I get! I go on tangents and say every stupid thing that pops into my head! I don't really hate them! I've known them for years! Great people even if they never wanted to be leprechauns!" While she was at it she might as well apologize for everything.
"And I'm sorry for punching Dominic in the face. Um...He'll probably end up with a black eye but other than that he should be fine!" she said hurriedly.
"Uh...If it makes it any better he forgave me. I know it was stupid but I was just so pissed that he hadn't come to visit you once. I didn't know that you were in the game. I knew the game caused comas so I tried building a character and investigating but I had no clue you were here at the time. And...Well...One thing led to another but I hugged him and....Sorry!"
"Oh and I gave him a stage makeup kit! So um...He should be able to cover the black eye just fine if it develops!'
She turned to face Magnolia, confused. "Do what things?"she asked ignorantly. "Well you should hate people who hurt their only best friend."
"You started dreaming? But how could you be happy in here?" she asked curiously, gesturing to the scenery. "It's pretty sure but it's not the same as actually being outside. You don't get all the nice sensations, the smell of freshly cut grass or a pretty flower, the feel of mud beneath your toes."
She turned back to Rowan, wondering how she would answer the questions. Abby hadn't really talked to Rowan about her first impression of her condition. She thought that topic might be too painful but she was curious.

"Yes, you go on tangents and you can't control yourself which is why I'm not as angry as I could have been. But you should realize that not everything in life revolves around what you care about. So what if they didn't come see me in the hospital? It's not as if I can tell what is going on out there. Why should they make such a long trip just to watch me sleep? Especially when they can see me here, awake and alive any time that they want." She knew the only reason her brother had even come home was because he had been pressured to by their parents. Rowan could hardly blame him, what was the point of sitting around the hospital when they could be having an adventure together?
A look of understanding came across Rowan as she was asked about her experiences. "I was afraid at first, because I know that this world can be a dangerous place but once I got over the fear I accepted the situation. It is still frightening sometimes when a monster shows up or I find myself facing a player killer but I do not mind it."
She smiled a small, slow smile when Abby asked how they could be happy. "No, that is where you are wrong, Abby. You cannot feel the smell of fresh grass or feel the mist from these falls but I can. This is my world now, and even though it is data it is as real to me as the world out there is to you." Rowan slowly spread her white angel's wings both for the sake of stretching and for the sake of showing them.
"And with these I am able to experience the world in ways that very few else can. Abby, I know you see me as a victim, but I am not upset. Even though I miss my family, I am happy here."

"A fallen star, fell from your heart"
"And landed in my eyes..." Like that of a silent spectator Elynna simply watched, calm and docile as ever. The obnoxious girls words filled the air profusely without reprieve. It was irritating to Elynna to say the very least, finally her words correlated to the topic at hand. A giggle had almost escaped her lips was it not for her will. She had quickly regained her composure, this time mindful of herself more. Rowan had eagerly responded in kind before the maiden's lips could even twitch. But, why was she so eager to speak to these woman? Shrugging the thought away she closed her eyes, inviting darkness and than slowly opened them once more. "Ask yourself the opposite. How can you be happy there? In such a cruel, unfair place. In that world I had no future.... only despair. Here, I can experience a life I thought to be impossible. I can do as I like.."Fluttering white had expanded, gorgeously drowned in an oblique light. Her wings were beautiful, like a powerful beacon that resonated with hope. So through her angel like appendages she could experience life in a way Elynna could never hope to fathom. It seemed the world was full of surprises. Something resembling a faint smile had found its way upon her face, but it was quickly vanquished and her visage returned to its normal, mundane stature. "I still hate people... but y- you two arent that bad..."Mumbling the words she shifted her gaze away, her cheeks kissed a florid pink as she inhaled and exhaled softly. She could never forgive the real world, the real people that hurt her so much, but somewhere deep down, she wanted to see the beauty in such an ugly world. All she needed was the courage to go out and grab hold of it. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Abby nodded not really understanding the issue. "I know that everything doesn't revolve around what I care about but what's the problem? I care about it and I speak as though it is important to me which it is."
She bit her lip, thinking. Why should the brothers visit Nora? Abby had visited her every day and yet Nora was no more aware of Abby when she did so. All those hours of reading to Nora, talking to her, to Nora they may as well not exist. She was not conscious of any of it.
"Studies show that comatose people may hear those that are conscious. And so the words spoken around them could have positive or negative affects. People are more likely to give up if people say stuff like 'They're a goner'. But what if instead of words of hopelessness, encouragement was offered? If there's even a chance that someone will recover through kind words it's worth visiting the physical body and speaking every day," she said fervently.
In reality, that was the only thing she could do. She could go to the hospital and touch Nora and talk to her and read to her. Since that was all she could do, she did it wholeheartedly. She saw her everyday and stayed for as long as she could. She nearly drove herself nuts being shut inside for so long but Nora was more important than her own personal comfort. Nora had to be restored. At least that was what she originally thought but what if Nora like Magnolia was happier here? What if she never wanted to leave?
Nora always seemed contented when Abby visited. She never once complained about her state. And now Nora appeared so joyous, observing the falls.
"How can I be happy there?" Abby asked blankly. Reality was all she knew. Sure there were parts of her everyday life that sucked but there were wonderful things too; but, now one of her greatest comforts and sources of bliss had been snatched from her.
"There are hikes to be had and horses to ride and races to run and friends to hang out with and..." She trailed off realizing most of the things she loved about reality could be enjoyed here. She couldn't ride horses but grunties weren't that different. She could be outside all the time. Her only friend was here.
"Hmmm....I suppose I'll never understand what it's truly like to be here unless I also am trapped," she murmured. She really wasn't good with perspective.
Her eyes lit up. "But I could find out! If you two are so pleased here maybe I would prefer to stay here as well! I wouldn't ever have to leave Rowan's side and I could always be running around outdoors and there would be adventures! I so love physical fights and I could get into as many battles as I wanted without getting into trouble!" she said excitedly.
"Hmmm...What was the phrase? Data Drained? I just need to find someone or something that can Data Drain me so I can experience all this for myself! I'm not great with computers, anyway. Leveling up will be much faster if I use my own arms and legs!"
Abby beamed when Magnolia said the two of them weren't so bad. She laughed. "Well Rowan's certainly not so bad but I don't know about myself. There's probably a reason I only have one friend. Still it's nice to hear you say that! I don't think you're so bad yourself. Of course...I know absolutely nothing about you."
