Unhindered Rattling Tear
A modern city that has been evacuated due to unknown reasons. Despite the constant overcast rainclouds making the Field almost completely dark, the occasional ray of sunlight manages to seep through the black blanket. As mentioned this city is noted for its neverending downpour.

There she sat on the side of her bed with her feet on the floor and her chin in her palms, those golden and unclouded yellow orbs of hers staring out the window into the pouring rain that threatened this place. The sound of the rain pattering against the window was calming, the ambient noise of this field one of the few things in [The World] that can snap her out of the insanity that she always found herself diving into. These days, though, Lopper seemed better off than she ever did before with the whites of her eyes having returned.
She shut her eyes as she inhaled deeply, thinking about her position in that room she had claimed as her own before she let herself fall backwards onto the bed with her hands just above her head. To make herself more comfortable she opened her legs a bit to get a better planted grip on the ground with those fragile feet of hers. Exhaling, her eyes slowly fluttering open, she imagined how nice it would be to just lay here in this place forever without ever having to get up for anything. Never logging out, never having to eat or worry about monetary things, just existing in this field as her home. That was a dream she desperately wanted to make a reality.

Alexei would have ignorantly followed the streets of the field forever, allowing the rain to hit against his flesh. That was what he used to do during long hours of the day, bask in the cold rain and hope that some sort of warmth would shine through the dark. Ever since he had ran into Lopper in this field, he was aware of her secret dwelling. How long had she used the field as a second home, and had she manipulated the data of the field to do it? This wasn't something he could ask, for her behavior was always bipolar. One minute she would dot on Alexei, the next she would evade everything, and then randomly she would have a taste of blood. Not like Alexei could complain, he was similar in that regard.
So, when he entered the field he forced himself to the porch of the building. Just like before, he took his time walking along the maze of the staircase. Once he reached the hall of the building, he looked into the room that was crusted in dark liquid. He never really did figure out what it all meant. Whether Lopper was mutilating herself or not, he never ever got any resolve. Through the low-light room, he saw that the girl had already been there. What would she think knowing Alexei had followed her to the field? Keeping his face emotionless, he approached the hall into he was at the entry of the door way. Considering the field was cold, he was in his old attire. A scarf wrapped around the base of his pale neck, while his arms were covered in black sleeves. This time he around, he even wore two gloves. As if he was hiding the void from sight. Was he ashamed?
He noticed that her body was spread across the bed, a vulnerable position. There was everything he could do to her like that, and there was everything he also shouldn't do. Leaning his right shoulder against the door frame, he merely watched her sit alone on the bed. He wondered if she had fallen asleep in [The World], with her face down on her desk as the terminal took over her face. Sleep had to have been two different things for them.
“How long have you been here?” he asked, as if he almost wanted the room to himself.

His voice bounced off the walls of that hollow room, inside of her mind and the rest of this abandoned building. Her foot twitched from the sudden shock of hearing another individual so close by, ready to spring Lopper's body up and into a fighting position. The girl willed her foot to cease, and so it rested there on the floor, having caught her body before it could go on instinct and rip apart the trespasser. It was Alexei, she knew that in the moment after the surprise, and he was never a trespasser no matter how far he came into what was hers.
Those eyes of hers slowly open to look up at a ceiling that was familiar to her at this point, her frail lips twisting into a broken smile as happiness ran through her body. He was here, he had found her, but she guessed that she didn't make it that hard for him to find her if he really wanted to. Alexei, she couldn't help but look at him differently now, especially after everything Aria - or rather, Lunea - had told her. How did that make things any different? Was it a good different or a bad different? Lopper wasn't sure at this point, she was more confused than she normally was.
Lopper's right hand brought itself to her hair, driving its fingers underneath that pink mess, a quiet scoff escaping her lips before she spoke to the male. "A while, or something" was her response, arching her back to get whatever kink there was in it out for the time being. "What about you?" she asked next, "how long have you been standing there watching me?" Lopper always knew how to tease someone, perhaps it was easy for her to pull all the right strings when it came to someone that she knew - or, at least, thought she knew.l

“Awhile, or something,” he mocked her response. If she was going to be vague, then he was going to do the same. As the silence was broken, he moved away from the door frame so that he could finally enter the room. The girl had taken up most of the bed, so he didn't come close just yet. Instead, his eyes moved to the window. He could see the pattern of the rain continuously fall, watch as the window made a blur of water. Within the darkness, where few lights had shown, the atmosphere of the field was always beautiful. He loved the rain, and he was eager to die within it when the time would come. Some part of him wanted to get closer, to open the window and stick his head out like an excited dog. But he didn't, the thought was fleeting.
Instead, he turned his head away from the outside of the field to look at the girl. He knew that there was an odd line being blurred here. The very fact that the girl's hair was genetically pink reminded him of the virtual world. Slowly, he got a little closer as if she was prey. With the gap between the two beginning to decrease, he lifted his right knee so that he could place it on the bed – right between Lopper's legs. Then he leaned down so that he was hovering over her, both of his palms on each side of her head. Now her view of the ceiling would be closed off, she would have to look at Alexei's face. He looked into her skull, as if he was seeing her thoughts.
Due to gravity, his hair slowly moved forward, the slight purple hue apparent within the lighting of the room. He wasn't sure why he felt it was necessary to get this close, to always put the girl beneath him. Lately, it was like they were constantly repeating themselves. Was it ever going to stop? Alexei leaned down so that he could slightly kiss the side of her mouth, but then he pulled away, as if he was a gentleman. “I'm always watching you..”

How did Alexei move around the room so fast and get on top of her without Lopper even realizing it? Had she been daydreaming or not paying attention to Alexei's actions? Perhaps she always felt so safe around him that she simply forgot that he was there sometimes, at least in a way that could ever intimidate her or throw her into loops of excitement until it was too late. His knee had found it's way underneath her skirt, her eyes going wide as instinct drove her to sit up right but she soon found that she couldn't go anywhere.
As Alexei leaned forward, Lopper found herself falling back down against the bed; completely pinned underneath him with his hands to her sides and his body completely blocking anything else she might have been able to see from where she laid. Her face immediately turned a bright red, her eyes looking to the sides as if she was searching for a way to escape, but she knew better than to think she could ever escape Alexei's clutches. Even if he wasn't on top of her, even if he had never went to her for his vices, she would still be wrapped around his finger. It's just how it had always been, and it is probably how it always would be.
All of her insides melted as he closed in and spoke his peace, her heart fluttering like a mocking bird inside of her chest as her fingers stretched out as if all of the raw emotions that were coursing through her veins was petrifying her. Her bottom lip quivered as a weak and disappearing smirk appeared on her countenance, another scoff escaped her thought as she attempted to look composed. "You liar," she whispered with what little breath she had on the inside. All Lopper could think about inside of her boiling mind was how badly she wished that to be true, how much she wanted to always feel like he was always watching every little thing she did no matter how irrelevant it was to everything.

Her head turned away, even the slightest movement like that was a sign of a wall. She was closing herself off from him, pulling herself away as if Alexei would hurt her. He might have hurt her in the past, but it was never intentional. Sometimes he didn't realize how evasive he was becoming, as if it was some kind of sickness that he could never wash out of his veins. Though her words, they stung him; they were no better than a knife being stabbed right through his heart. If he was lying, that too, was unintentional. Using his arms he lifted his body up for a second, as if the words were a solid no, a push of his body away from hers. The leg that was in-between hers moved over her thighs, so that he could turn and sit up on the bed. Both of his legs were hanging over the edge, his arms now kept to himself.
Both of his hands were laid outward, dead weight. Alexei had his face pointed in the direction of the window, watching the rain once more. He wasn't sure how to process his feelings about her words, all he knew was that his body recoiled from them. Was he sad, angry, happy? Alexei closed his eyes, trying to figure out the burst of energy in his chest was. It had to be anxiety. “Is that so?” he asked the girl, the words hinting that there was a smirk on his face.
If he hadn't been watching her, how did he manage to find her all the time? If he didn't search of wait for her, then she would never see him again. Alexei's appearance always had a reason behind it, and lately Lopper was his drive. But his efforts were worth nothing. Had taking the void from her mix her thought process over him? It wasn't like he knew what he was doing, it just sort of happened.

Lopper didn't understand what she had said or did to drive Alexei off of her, sometimes she wondered if the boy just had no idea how to respond in situations like the ones they constantly began to find themselves in. A sickly thought in her head passed through, making her think that perhaps she was the one that was acting all wrong instead of him. Was that the case? She didn't know. How could Lopper know?
Sititng up right too with a grunt, she shook her head with disappointment before she leaned her temple onto his shoulder. She nuzzled his shoulder, getting comfortable as her golden orbs stared dryly out through the window into the rain, sitting there next to Alexei, just enjoying the moment that the two of them were having together at that point in time. There was no need for her to bring up anything that she knew, or say anything about some pointless subject, just existing there in the space next to Alexei was enough to make everything all right.
Still, she did have a lot on her mind that she did have to say when it came to his very existence. "You're silly sometimes," she said softly in a playful sort of manner as her feet shuffled on the ground they were on. "Don't you, like, get it?" What was this 'it' Lopper was referring to? "I don't understand why you keep running away." Oh, so it was one of those passive-aggressive conversations about you-know-what.

He felt her head lull on his shoulder, and he slightly craned his head further away from. Instead of looking at the window, his eyes fell to the walls. The hands that were dead weight in his laps, slipped a little so that they could touch the sheets below him. It was hard to grip at the fabric with the gloves on, but he managed to do it, suppressing some sort of violent monster within him. He didn't know why he was flighty around the girl, why he could become so composed and then lose it all in under a second. Alexei had a sick fascination, that she should pull a weapon on him and cut him to pieces. With his head turned away, he was giving the wall a baffled smile.
As he exhaled some air, the suddenness of his change slowly reverted back to the person he was before. He couldn't blame it on the void either, he had always been like this. Get it? He had no idea what she was talking about, and since she didn't explain at first – he knew not to really ask. But he did slowly turn his head back, so that the top of the girl's pink hair brushed his cheek. She was always arm against him, and sometimes he felt like he would burst into flames.
“I run away because I like having you chase me.”

Something about Alexei's words made her choke up inside, made her feel as if she were weak and vulnerable and desperately needed to hold onto him before she fell off into her own insanity. Her insides were burning up, her eyes blurred from the water that was building up at the sides of her eyes, her fingers grasping at nothing that was there in front of her. All of these sudden emotions over took her out of no where, and those words of his still rang through her head all the while.
Suddenly she turned to face Alexei, throwing herself on top of him with her arms embracing him as tightly as they could. She buried her face in his neck, pulling her body up with the help of her hold around him, her legs folding to the side on the bed next to her as she held him silently shivering. Lopper didn't want to let him go, she didn't want to think about a thing, she just wanted to hold him tightly and focus on the moment rather than all of the ill thoughts that were plaguing her mind.
"I'll always chase after you," she choked out. "I always have chased after you."

He didn't know that his words compelled her so vigorously, if he had known, perhaps he would use more lines like that. Before he knew it, her arms were wrapped around him, holding him. Alexei's head tilted back a little bit, feeling the girl's head further rest against his neck. Using his arms he slowly wrapped them around the girl, placing his the palm of his gloved hands against her back. Within the embrace he folded his arms downward so that she would further on top of him. He had seen these types of hugs, knew the volume behind it. It was the gesture someone did when they were silently hurting all along, and now they could embrace someone.
Not to mention that her body was shaking against his own, like she was cold. He didn't know what to tell the girl, how to sooth all of the pain away. But her confession, he had heard it. Perhaps he really knew all along that she was chasing after him, maybe he was doing everything on purpose. If he stopped running, would she disappear? He had seen people get what they have always wanted, only to become bored of it and discard it later. Maybe Alexei was just fighting the inevitable.
He would always run. Therefore, he had no soothing words to tell the girl.

Lopper felt Alexei's arms embrace her, welcome her into his body, and she felt like everything was slowly becoming right once more. Being there in his arms, inside of them and close enough to feel her heart beat against his, it all made her want to die in that moment just so she knew she wouldn't have to die sad and alone. In Alexei's arms, all of those years that had come to pass were absolved and she felt as if she had finally found completion in her arms. This room, here with him in it, and the rain knocking on the window was the perfect scene she had always dreamed about when she was a little girl. This was it, all of this was everything she wanted, but somehow it still felt so fragile and cold like a spike. If Lopper didn't know any better, she felt as if she were being crucified right there in his embrace.
Slowly she moved forward, pushing him down onto the bed so that she could lay there on top of him in a crooked and desperate sort of way. Still she made no noise, but her shaking and silent crying ensued. Did Alexei get it? Did he understand how badly Lopper always wanted to be around him? Did he understand that she wanted to always hear his voice, wanted to be in his grasp, wanted to be around him? He made her feel stronger, Alexei made Lopper feel right! It was amazing, it was incredible, it was something Lopper couldn't put into words when she tried to explain it to herself. It was just as it was, just as it always had been, and that was all right at least for the time being.
"Don't let me go."
